FAQs

  • How often should my pet have an exam and blood work?

Exams should be done annually along with a young wellness panel (for pets 1-6 yrs.) or a senior profile (for pets 7 years and older).

  • Why does my pet need a dental procedure?

Regular dental exams and cleanings prevent tooth loss and can extend the life of your pet by 3-4 years by helping to prevent heart, liver, and/or kidney disease.

  • What are heartworms, and how can I prevent my pet from getting them?

Heartworms are a parasite that invades the heart and pulmonary system. They are transmitted by mosquitoes from dog to dog. This can be prevented by consistently administering heartworm preventatives. These preventatives come in injectable, oral, or topical forms.
