Dental Care

Can you imagine not brushing your teeth or performing any sort of oral hygiene–ever? The very thought makes you cringe, right? Now think about your pets’ teeth and how often they receive dental care. Yikes! Bradley-Southside Veterinary Hospital recommends regularly scheduled exams and dental cleanings to help keep your pets healthy, avoid future complications from dental disease, and add years to your pet’s life. Dental services we provide include professional cleanings, extractions, removal of puppy teeth that didn’t fall out, and digital dental radiography screenings.
At Bradley-Southside Veterinary Hospital, we clean each tooth both above and below the gum line and polish teeth to create a smooth, plaque resistant surface. Additionally, since the majority of periodontal disease lies below the gumline, we use digital dental radiography to help us find evidence of the disease, enamel defects, fractures beneath the gum line, bone loss, and oral tumors.
We encourage pet parents to begin regular dental exams and cleanings when pets are young to prevent the development of periodontal disease. Brushing your pet’s teeth in between cleanings and supplying them with oral hygiene chews are additional preventive measures that we encourage.
If you have never had your pet’s dental condition checked, or if you notice your pet exhibiting any of the following conditions, don’t hesitate to give us a call and schedule a dental care appointment:
